Dear Ana,

Thank you for your beautiful sharing. Your honesty is refreshing in a time when many of our traveling companions don't really understand the difference between spiritual ego and authenticity. Having said that, I'm thinking that your individuality is not really a "scam" in the true derogatory sense that it implies. It is more of a diving suit that we wear until we learn how to breath In Love long enough to swim indefinitely in that "river" of Love you talk about. "Ego makes a very good servant but a very bad master." We need to make friends with our ego selves - those parts of us that make it possible for us navigate third dimensional reality: inner child, parent(super ego), adult ego (cultural identity)...

"Self" seems to have become a four letter word in much of the spiritual community. We are what we are, and we don't change and grow until we can accept and embrace those parts of us that bug us. Otherwise they spin off and are regulated to becoming our demons. "The way to get rid of your enemies is make them your friends." Abe L.

What you teach and share is a great gift in these times because your skills help us identify these "parts" in ourselves, (which according to william james - carl jung's close friend, can be infinite) and others so we can deepen our relationships: Communion. This is how we get out of the diving suit of individuality and into the river, one breath at a time.
much love,
yoshi

Ana, first I want to say I am soooooooooo grateful for your openness through your blog. I can't tell you enough how much it means to connect with you through your sharing, especially when I become so isolated with my personal journey. Thank you for reminding me that this journey is truly a flowing river and that "this too shall pass"-over rocks and through drift wood- flowing into the divine ocean of redemption. I sometimes am afraid to dive into these familiar waters, even though I was born to swim, even though the river is the only way to flow...ironic that for the past week I have taken ritual baths, scrubbing away(forgiving)the fear and doubt from my body...first my hands, to cleanse away the need to hold on tightly to life...then my arms..to cleanse away the pushing away so that they may embrace love, then my shoulders, to cleanse away the weight of years of guilt...on and on..each body part..until I pull the drain plug and let the water flow down...to be purified in the "river of love"..I will now have a song to sing along with my "river of bath tub love" ritual! Thank you Ana, Love and Peace-Farrrah.
